Mine is a tide — it comes in gradually over a few days, peaks, then recedes. The peak days I call 'baseline + weather + consequence' days. Baseline is always there. Weather changes (especially pressure drops) add a layer. Then consequences from anything I overdid earlier in the week stack on top. Understanding the pattern helped me plan around it.
My pain is location-roulette. I never know which part of my body will be screaming that day. Some weeks it's pure neck and shoulder. Some weeks it migrates to my lower back and hips. The unpredictability is its own psychological challenge — you can't plan around something this random.
Very much triggered for me. A stressful conversation, bad sleep, cold weather, or too much screen time all spike my pain within hours. Once I mapped my triggers it felt more manageable — not controllable, but less chaotic. Sleep is the biggest lever I've found.
